Whether your family is gathered together or you’re all spread out this holiday, I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. While we should be thankful for the blessings in our life every day, I am thankful that our Nation has established this special day. For it provides an opportunity for all of its citizens to pause for a moment and take stock of the blessings in our life and acknowledge them with a hearty Giving of Thanks.
Anyone who pays even passive attention to current events knows there is much strife in our world at this moment. In times like these, it may become difficult to appreciate all the good that life has to offer. Our day-to-day routines and interactions, both stressful and, of course, joyful, sometimes might seem to take all our energy, leaving little left over for contemplations of gratitude. I believe it is precisely in times like these that the importance of setting aside a day to Give Thanks becomes most powerfully evident.
So, wherever you are on this Thanksgiving Day 2015, I hope that you are warm and safe. I would also like to take the opportunity that this day affords to express my gratitude, to Give Thanks, to you, my community, whether you are a client who hired me to work with you to create a vision, or you are one of my valuable trade contractors who help me implement that vision. Without you all, I would not have enjoyed even a fraction of success that I have had in over thirty years designing interiors in Southern California’s Inland Empire.
